Hardly anyone calls us on a calm Tuesday afternoon. Families reach out after a fall, after a hospital discharge, after a doctor says the word dementia out loud for the first time. Whenever that moment lands for your family, you should not have to wait a week to talk to a real person about it. When you contact CareBridge Home Services, one of our local care coordinators will get in touch within 24 hours to talk through what is going on at home.
That first conversation costs you nothing and commits you to nothing. It is a chance to say the situation out loud to someone who has helped other Central Alabama families through the same week.
What happens in the first 24 hours after you reach out
We keep the beginning simple on purpose, because most people find us when they are already stretched thin.
- You send us the online form or give us a call and tell us, in a few sentences, what has changed at home.
- A local care coordinator contacts you within 24 hours to ask about daily routines, mobility, memory, medications, and who is currently doing what.
- We schedule a complimentary, in-home consultation at a time that suits the household — including the family members who need to be in the room.
- Together we write a care plan: which days, which hours, which tasks, and which caregiver skills the situation calls for.
If the pressure is not urgent yet, that same conversation is the right time to build an aging-at-home plan: a structured, proactive plan that puts companion care, personal assistance, and safety checks in place before a crisis occurs. Families who do this are rarely the ones making frantic phone calls from a hospital hallway.
Six kinds of help, built around your loved one's day
Nobody needs all six at once. Most plans start with one or two and shift as things change.
- Personal & Companion Care — dignified assistance with daily routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.
- Dementia & Alzheimer's Support — specialized, patient care tailored to cognitive needs, keeping the home environment safe and familiar.
- Respite & Recovery Care — relief for family caregivers, plus structured hospital-to-home recovery support to help prevent readmissions.
- Transportation — hospital to home, home to doctors' appointments, and other care-related trips.
- Cleaning Services — clearing clutter and trip hazards so the house itself stops being a risk.
- Travel Buddies — support before, during, and after travel, including personal care and mobility assistance.
We provide personalized in-home support that allows seniors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love most—HOME. Local. Compassionate. Dependable.
Where we work across Shelby County and Montgomery
Our caregivers and coordinators live in the same communities as the families they serve. We provide senior home care throughout Shelby Countyincluding Alabaster, Calera, Helena, and Pelham, and in Montgomeryincluding Prattville and Pike Road. If your address sits just outside those lines, ask us anyway — coverage depends on caregiver availability, and we would rather check than turn you away by guesswork.

Questions families ask before the first visit
These come up on nearly every first call. If yours is not here, bring it to the consultation — nothing is too small to ask about, including the awkward parts like bathing, driving, and money.
When you are ready, request your free in-home consultation using the form on this page, or call Lucinda and the CareBridge team at (205) 605-4027 during office hours.
