Why we started, and what we believe
CareBridge Home Services is a local, family-minded in-home care company serving seniors across Central Alabama. Owner Lucinda Jackson built the company around one simple idea: most people don't want to leave the house they've lived in. They want help getting through the day in it.
So that's the work. We provide personalized in-home support that allows seniors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love most — home. Our caregivers show up for the ordinary parts of the day: the morning routine, the meal, the ride to the cardiologist, the conversation over coffee. Those ordinary parts are usually where independence is won or lost.
Local. Compassionate. Dependable.
We're not a call center forwarding your file to a stranger three counties away. Our care coordinators live and work in the communities we serve, which means when something changes — a hospital stay, a new medication, a fall — there's someone nearby who already knows your family's situation.
Six kinds of help, built around your loved one's day
Families rarely need everything at once. Most start with one or two of these and add more as needs shift.
- Personal & Companion Care — dignified assistance with daily routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.
- Dementia & Alzheimer's Support — specialized, patient care tailored to cognitive needs, keeping the home environment safe and familiar.
- Respite & Recovery Care — relief for family caregivers, plus structured hospital-to-home recovery support aimed at preventing readmissions.
- Transportation — rides home from the hospital, to doctors' appointments, and to other care services.
- Cleaning Services — clearing clutter and trip hazards so the house itself stops working against your loved one.
- Travel Buddies — support before, during, and after travel, including personal care and mobility assistance.
Caregivers on our team are specifically trained in dementia and Alzheimer's support, so a person living with memory loss can hold onto comfortable, familiar routines rather than being moved somewhere unfamiliar to receive help.
We also talk with families about building an aging-at-home plan — a structured, proactive plan that puts companion care, personal assistance, and safety checks in place before a crisis occurs. It is far easier to add support to a steady week than to assemble it in a hospital hallway at nine at night.
Where we work, and how the first visit happens
We serve Shelby County — including Alabaster, Calera, Helena, and Pelham — and Montgomery, including Prattville and Pike Road. If you're just outside those lines, reach out anyway and ask; coverage areas do shift.
Getting started is deliberately low-stakes. Request your free in-home consultation using the form on this page. Our local care coordinators will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your family's needs, then we come to the house, sit down, and look at the real situation — the stairs, the kitchen, the sleep schedule, the medications, who in the family is carrying what. Out of that conversation comes a customized care plan. The consultation itself is complimentary.
Some families are ready that week. Others are planning six months ahead. Both are fine reasons to call.

Questions families ask before the first visit
Below are the questions that come up most on first calls. If yours isn't here, ask us during the consultation — no question about a parent's safety is too small. Ready when you are: request your free in-home consultation, or call (205) 605-4027 during office hours.
