CareBridge Home Services is a local, compassionate, dependable in-home support team for seniors across Central Alabama. Our work is simple to describe and hard to do well: personalized in-home support that allows seniors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love mosthome.
Led by Lucinda Jackson, a local owner who answers her own phone
CareBridge is owned by Lucinda Jackson. She is the person who reads the intake notes, who sits at the kitchen table during a first consultation, and who hears about it directly if a shift does not go the way a family expected. That matters more than any slogan. When you hand over the care of your mother or your husband, you should know who is accountable, and you should be able to reach them.
Around Lucinda is a team of caregivers and local care coordinators. The coordinators handle the planning side — the schedule, the care plan, the handoff from a hospital discharge nurse. The caregivers are the ones in the home, doing the quiet, patient work of helping someone get dressed, eat a real breakfast, take the right pill at the right hour, and still feel like the head of their own household.
We provide personalized in-home support that allows seniors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love most — HOME.
Six kinds of help, built around your loved one's day
Our caregivers are not interchangeable. Different people on the team carry different strengths, and we staff a case based on what the day actually looks like. These are the six services we provide:
- Personal & Companion Care — dignified assistance with daily routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.
- Dementia & Alzheimer's Support — specialized, patient care tailored to cognitive needs, keeping safety and familiarity in the home environment. Our caregivers are specifically trained for this work.
- Respite & Recovery Care — relief for family caregivers, plus structured hospital-to-home recovery support to help prevent readmissions.
- Transportation — hospital to home, home to doctors' appointments, and other care-related trips.
- Cleaning Services — cleaning that keeps a home free of clutter and trip hazards.
- Travel Buddies — support before, during, and after travel, including personal care and mobility assistance.
How we match a caregiver to your family
Matching is a conversation, not a form. It starts with a complimentary, in-home consultation. A coordinator comes to the house, walks through the rooms your loved one uses most, and asks about the ordinary things — what time she wakes, who handles the mail, whether the shower has a bar in it, which stories he likes to tell twice. From that, we build a care plan with a schedule, a task list, and a named caregiver.
Some families come to us in the middle of a crisis, after a fall or a discharge. Others come early, which is better. An aging-at-home plan is a structured, proactive plan that puts companion care, personal assistance, and safety checks in place before a crisis occurs. If you are reading this page while nothing is wrong yet, that is the right time to call.
Once you reach out, a local care coordinator will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your family's needs. We serve Shelby County — including Alabaster, Calera, Helena, and Pelham — and Montgomery, including Prattville and Pike Road. If you are just outside those lines, ask us anyway.

Questions families ask before the first visit
Below are the questions we hear most often. If yours is not here, ask it on the form — nothing about your situation is too small or too complicated to raise. Request your free in-home consultation and we will take it from there, or call (205) 605-4027 during office hours.
