Most people who call us have never arranged home care before. There's usually something that prompted it — a fall, a hospital discharge, a phone call from a neighbor, or just a quiet feeling that Mom shouldn't be managing on her own anymore. You don't need to have it figured out before you reach out. Figuring it out is our job.
CareBridge Homecare Services provides personalized in-home support that allows seniors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love mosthome. Here's exactly what happens once you get in touch.
How the first few days actually go
- You submit the form or call. Tell us as little or as much as you want. A name, a phone number, and a sentence about what's going on is plenty to start.
- A local care coordinator contacts you within 24 hours. This is a real conversation, not a script. We'll ask about daily routines, mobility, memory, medications, who else is helping, and what worries you most.
- We schedule a complimentary in-home consultation. Sitting in the living room tells us things a phone call never will — the stairs, the bathroom, the clutter in the hallway, how your loved one actually moves through the house.
- We build a care plan together. Which days, which hours, which tasks, and what a caregiver should do if something changes. You approve it before anything begins.
- Care starts — and the plan keeps moving. Needs shift. We adjust hours and tasks as they do, and we stay in touch with the family rather than waiting to be asked.
Local. Compassionate. Dependable.
Six kinds of help, built around your loved one's day
Families rarely need just one thing. A care plan often combines two or three of these, and the mix changes over time.
- Personal & Companion Care — dignified assistance with daily routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.
- Dementia & Alzheimer's Support — specialized, patient care tailored to cognitive needs, keeping the home environment safe and familiar.
- Respite & Recovery Care — relief for family caregivers, plus structured hospital-to-home recovery support aimed at preventing readmissions.
- Transportation — rides home from the hospital, to doctors' appointments, and to other care services.
- Cleaning Services — cleaning that keeps a home free of clutter and trip hazards.
- Travel Buddies — support before, during, and after travel, including personal care and mobility assistance.
If you're not sure which of these fits, that's a good reason to ask for the consultation rather than a good reason to wait. Many families come to us for one service and discover the real gap was somewhere else.
If there's no crisis yet
An aging-at-home plan is a structured, proactive plan that puts companion care, personal assistance, and safety checks in place before a crisis occurs. It's the easiest kind of plan to build, because nobody is making decisions under pressure. If you're reading this while things are still stable, you're early — and early is better.
