Most people find us at a hard moment. A parent has fallen. A hospital discharge is happening faster than anyone expected. A husband caring for his wife with dementia has not slept properly in a month. CareBridge Home Services exists for exactly those moments — and for the quieter ones before them, when a family can still plan ahead.
We are local, and we mean that plainly. Our owner, Lucinda Jacksonbuilt CareBridge around personalized in-home support that lets seniors stay safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love most — home. Local. Compassionate. Dependable. That is the whole idea, and everything below is just how we carry it out.
Care that starts with a conversation, not a contract
Before anything is decided, we come to you. The in-home consultation is complimentary — no cost, no obligation to book care afterward. We sit down in the home itself, because you cannot plan good care from a phone call. We look at the stairs, the bathroom, the kitchen, the medication routine. We listen to what your mother actually wants, not just what the family has decided she needs.
From there we build a customized care plan. Sometimes that plan is four hours on a Tuesday. Sometimes it is a full aging-at-home plan: a structured, proactive arrangement that puts companion care, personal assistance, and safety checks in place before a crisis occurs, rather than scrambling after one.
We provide personalized in-home support that allows seniors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love most — HOME.
Six kinds of help, built around your loved one's day
We do not sell a long menu of services nobody uses. We do six things, and we do them properly:
- Personal & Companion Care — dignified assistance with daily routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.
- Dementia & Alzheimer's Support — our caregivers are specifically trained in dementia and Alzheimer's care, with patient, tailored support that keeps routines familiar and the home environment safe.
- Respite & Recovery Care — real relief for family caregivers, plus structured hospital-to-home recovery support that helps prevent readmissions.
- Transportation — hospital to home, home to doctors' appointments, and other care-related trips.
- Cleaning Services — keeping the home clear of clutter and trip hazards, because a safe floor prevents a fall.
- Travel Buddies — support before, during, and after travel, including personal care and mobility assistance along the way.
Families rarely need just one of these. A hospital discharge usually means transportation on Monday, recovery care through the week, and a tidier house so the walker actually fits through the hallway. We coordinate all of it under one plan so you are not managing three different companies.
Where we work and who you'll be talking to
We serve Shelby County — including Alabaster, Calera, Helena, and Pelham — and Montgomeryincluding Prattville and Pike Road. If you are just outside those areas, ask us anyway; we would rather check than turn you away by assumption.
When you reach out, a local care coordinator will contact you within 24 hours to talk through what your family is dealing with. Local matters here. The person who takes your call knows the hospitals you were discharged from and the neighborhoods our caregivers drive to. You are not routed to a call center in another state to explain your mother's situation to a stranger reading a script.
