When a family member is receiving hospice care at home, the hospice team handles the medical side. What most families find is that the hours in between still belong to them — the meals, the bathing, the laundry, the sitting up at night, the quiet company. That is the part CareBridge Home Services helps carry.
What our caregivers do — and what we leave to the hospice team
We want to be plain about this, because clarity matters more than salesmanship right now. CareBridge is not a hospice agency and we do not provide medical or nursing care. We do not manage medications, dress wounds, or make clinical decisions. Your hospice nurse, social worker, and chaplain do that work, and we stay out of their way.
What we provide is personalized, non-medical in-home support — the kind that lets someone stay safe, comfortable, and at home, in the place they love most. Our caregivers work alongside whatever hospice plan is already in place, filling the hours when no one clinical is in the house and a family still needs hands and company.
Six kinds of help, built around your loved one's day
Every one of our services can be shaped around a hospice situation. Most families use two or three of them together:
- Personal & Companion Care — dignified assistance with daily routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders, plus someone in the room so no one sits alone.
- Dementia & Alzheimer's Support — patient care tailored to cognitive needs, keeping the home familiar and the routine steady when everything else is changing.
- Respite & Recovery Care — relief for the family caregiver who has not slept properly in weeks, and structured hospital-to-home support when a loved one is discharged.
- Transportation — from the hospital to home, from home to appointments, and to other care services.
- Cleaning Services — keeping the home clear of clutter and trip hazards so a bedroom can safely become the center of the house.
- Travel Buddies — support before, during, and after travel, including personal care and mobility help, when family needs to come together.
Respite so family can go back to being family
The adult daughter who has taken over everything is the person we worry about most. She is doing three jobs at once and she is not going to ask for help. Respite care exists so she can sleep a full night, go to her own doctor, pick her kids up from school, or simply sit with her father as his daughter instead of as his caregiver.
Coverage can be a few hours a week or several shifts a day, and it can change as needs change. We would rather adjust the schedule than have you keep paying for hours you no longer need — or go short on the ones you do.
We provide personalized in-home support that allows seniors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love most—HOME. Local. Compassionate. Dependable.
