Most families don't call us because something dramatic happened. They call because Mom has stopped cooking real meals, or Dad's pill organizer is out of order again, or the laundry has been sitting in the basket for two weeks. Small things — until they add up to something unsafe.
CareBridge Home Services provides personalized in-home support that allows seniors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love mosthome. Our personal and companion care is dignified assistance with daily routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders. Local. Compassionate. Dependable.
Help with the parts of the day that have gotten harder
Personal care is hands-on, and it's personal — which is why we start with a conversation in your loved one's living room rather than a checklist over the phone. We want to know when they like to get up, what they actually enjoy eating, which chair they read in, and where they feel unsteady. Then we build the visit around that.
- Assistance with daily routines — bathing, dressing, grooming, and getting safely from room to room
- Meal preparation, including foods they like and any diet their doctor has asked them to follow
- Medication reminders so doses aren't missed or doubled
- Light housekeeping — dishes, laundry, tidying, keeping walkways clear of clutter and trip hazards
- Companionship: conversation, cards, a walk outside, a familiar voice in the house
For many families, this kind of personal care for elderly parents is what keeps a move to a facility off the table. Routines stay familiar. The dog stays. The neighbors stay. And someone is there to notice when something changes.
Six kinds of help, built around your loved one's day
Personal and companion care is one of six services we offer, and most care plans blend two or three of them. If your needs shift, the plan shifts with them.
- Personal & Companion Care — dignified assistance with daily routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
- Dementia & Alzheimer's Support — specialized, patient care tailored to cognitive needs, keeping the home environment safe and familiar
- Respite & Recovery Care — relief for family caregivers, plus structured hospital-to-home recovery support to help prevent readmissions
- Transportation — hospital to home, home to doctors' appointments, and other care-related trips
- Cleaning Services — cleaning that keeps the home free of clutter and injury risk
- Travel Buddies — support before, during, and after travel, including personal care and mobility assistance
At CareBridge Homecare Services, we provide personalized in-home support that allows seniors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love most — HOME.
Questions families ask before the first visit
Nobody arranges personal care for a parent without hesitation. Below are the things families raise most often on that first call. If your question isn't here, ask it — that's what the consultation is for.
The consultation itself is complimentary and takes place in the home, so we can see the stairs, the bathroom, the kitchen, and how your loved one moves through the space. Nothing is decided on the spot. You'll leave with a clear written plan and a price, and you can take as long as you need to think about it.
Talk to a care coordinator
Submit the form and one of our local care coordinators will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your family's needs, then set a time for the in-home visit. If you'd rather speak with someone now, call (205) 605-4027 or email carebridge2026@gmail.com. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM; we're closed Saturday and Sunday.
We serve Shelby County — including Alabaster, Calera, Helena, and Pelham — and Montgomery, including Prattville and Pike Road. If you're just outside those areas, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether we can cover you. Request your free in-home consultation and let's talk about what your loved one's day looks like now, and what it could look like with the right support.
