Housekeeping that keeps a home safe, not just tidy

Most falls happen in rooms people have walked through for thirty years. A magazine stack by the recliner, a bathmat that slides, a hallway rug with a curled corner, laundry piled on the stairs. None of it looks dangerous until it is. Our cleaning work exists for one reason: to provide a safe environment free from clutter and injuriesso a senior can move through their own home without thinking twice about it.

That is a different job from a one-off deep clean. A caregiver who is already in the home for personal care or companionship handles light housekeeping as part of the visit — dishes done, floors clear, bathroom wiped down, trash out, bed made. Over time she learns where things belong and notices when something has changed, which is often the first sign that a routine is slipping.

We work with the person, not around them. If your mother has always folded her own towels, she keeps folding her own towels. Independence is the point. Our caregivers take on what has become hard or unsafe and leave alone what still brings a sense of capability.

We provide personalized in-home support that allows seniors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they love most—HOME.

Six kinds of help, built around your loved one's day

Housekeeping rarely stands alone. Families usually start there and then realize a few other things need covering too. Here is everything CareBridge does, so you can see where cleaning fits:

  • Personal & Companion Care — dignified help with daily routines, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders.
  • Dementia & Alzheimer's Support — specialized, patient care tailored to cognitive needs, keeping the home environment safe and familiar.
  • Respite & Recovery Care — relief for family caregivers, plus structured hospital-to-home recovery support to help prevent readmissions.
  • Transportation — hospital to home, home to doctors' appointments, and other care-related trips.
  • Cleaning Services — cleaning that keeps the home clear of clutter and the hazards that come with it.
  • Travel Buddies — support before, during, and after travel, including personal care and mobility assistance.

A cleaning visit can be the whole arrangement, or it can be one piece of a broader aging-at-home plan — a structured, proactive plan that puts companion care, personal assistance, and safety checks in place before a crisis occurs. Families who plan ahead tend to have far fewer emergency phone calls.

Where we work and how we start

CareBridge serves Shelby County, including Alabaster, Calera, Helena, and Pelham, and Montgomery, including Prattville and Pike Road. If you are just outside those lines, reach out anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can cover you.

Everything begins with a complimentary, in-home consultation. A care coordinator comes to the house, walks the rooms with you, and looks at what is actually going on — the tub, the stairs, the kitchen, the spots where a walker does not fit. From there we build a care plan that names specific tasks and a schedule you can count on. Submit the form and one of our local care coordinators will contact you within 24 hours to talk through your family's needs.

Questions families ask before the first visit

Owner Lucinda Jackson built CareBridge around the idea that good care is local, compassionate, and dependable — someone who knows the house, knows the person, and shows up when they said they would. If you are weighing whether it is time, the consultation costs nothing and often brings a great deal of clarity. Frequently Asked

Is this a deep cleaning service or housekeeping during care visits?

Both are possible. Light housekeeping is included as part of Personal & Companion Care visits, and we also offer Cleaning Services focused on keeping the home clear of clutter and the injury risks that come with it. Your care coordinator will spell out exactly which tasks are covered in your plan.

What areas do you serve?

Shelby County, including Alabaster, Calera, Helena, and Pelham, and Montgomery, including Prattville and Pike Road. Contact us to see whether we cover your address.

Can the same caregiver handle housekeeping and dementia care?

Yes. Our caregivers are specifically trained in dementia and Alzheimer's support, helping seniors maintain comfortable, familiar routines at home, and light housekeeping is a natural part of those visits.

What happens at the in-home consultation?

A care coordinator visits the home, walks through the rooms with you, discusses daily routines and problem spots, and helps build a customized care plan. It is complimentary and there is no obligation to book service.

How quickly will someone get back to me?

Once you submit the online form, one of our local care coordinators will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your family's needs.

What are your office hours?

Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday, but you can submit the form any time and we will follow up on the next business day.
